Drew Blake sets Legion baseball record

By

Shortstop Drew Blake has just completed a terrific year of baseball. First, the sophomore led the CHS Bulldogs with a .389 batting average and a team-high 17 RBIs.

He then went on to have a record-setting debut season with the Canton American Legion team, becoming the first 15 year old in Post 24 history to eclipse the .400 mark. Blake led the team in hitting and extra base hits, finishing with a .414 average, including two home runs.

Most recently, Blake led his AAU team, the South Shore Hurricanes, to the New England U-15 championship, batting over .500 for the season. In all, Blake hit in 42 straight games for both the Legion and AAU teams.
