Thank you MAC

Dear MAC:

Thank you for the mention of my father in your February 3 column (“Two Canton Icons Pass Away”). It was thoughtful of you to mention dad as an “icon,” though he would have cringed at that description, being the humble man he was. He lived and worked with people such as Maurice Ronayne Sr., Brewster Gifford, Carleton Taber, and many other outstanding civil servants. They were men to be respected and their service was to be respected. Thank you for what you do.
