Schneiders & Schneiders wins over-30 softball crown

Schneiders and Schneiders became the town champs in the Canton Over-30 Softball League for the second year in a row after they defeated American Legion 17-11 on Sunday morning, August 22.

Schneiders finished the regular season at 10-4 and went undefeated in the playoffs. American Legion went 11-3 in the regular season and 2-2 in the playoffs.

Team spokesman Ted Lehan said the defense was the difference maker in the playoffs for Schneiders. Lehan said that all of the teams played well this year and that the league is looking for some new teams next year. He said those who are interested should email him at tedl4233@comcast.net.
