Deborah A. “Debbie” Spada (Wier), 61, of Canton, passed away November 1 after a fierce and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born and raised in Quincy, she graduated from North Quincy High School and Massasoit Community College. She ran a family day care center from her home on Mechanic Street for 15 years and also worked as a cosmetics manager for Macy’s in Brockton. She was a dedicated mother, wife, daughter and friend. Debbie loved the New England Patriots and enjoyed cooking, baking, and taking care of everyone no matter what they needed.

Beloved wife of James M. Mother of Becca and Jennifer Spada, both of Canton. Daughter of Deena Wier (Chansky) of Foxboro and the late Billy Wier. Sister of Jackie Wier of Quincy and Ronnie Wier of Pembroke.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. Burial Sharon Memorial Park. Donations may be made in her memory to the Deirdre Spada Fund, 230 Mechanic St., Canton, MA 02021.
