Daniel Anello, 71, of Canton, passed away after a brief illness at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on Tuesday, October 29.

Born in Norwood, Daniel worked as a computer component engineer before retiring early due to his health. A musician, he played guitar and acted as sound engineer in several bands and jam groups over the years. During retirement he became an enthusiastic and skilled vegetable gardener. He was known for his generosity in sharing his fresh produce and his delicious basil pesto with friends and neighbors.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Denise Falbo, of Canton; son Dominic Anello, of Jamaica Plain; son Andrew Anello, of New Bedford; brother Frank Anello, of Norfolk; brother Joseph Anello, of Norwood; and brother Paul Anello, of Norwood. He is also survived by three grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private memorial luncheon will be held in Norwood. Donations may be made in his name to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
