Canton History Holiday Gift Ideas

By

Visit the Canton Historical Society during their open house on the next two Sundays in December from 1-4 p.m. and pick up a holiday gift of Canton history for a friend or family member.

The Canton Historical Society, located at 1400 Washington Street, will be open to the public on the next two Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Stop by, visit with a society member, and pick up a holiday gift of Canton history for a friend or family member. Items available for purchase include limited edition lithographs of the Canton Viaduct, old maps of the town, several books by local authors (Patricia Johnson, George Comeau and Christopher Oates), and original slates from the roof of the Paul Revere barn.

The Canton Historical Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve the history of Canton. The society acquires and preserves collections that reflect the town’s rich history, which goes back to the drafting of the Suffolk Resolves, the birth of the modern railroad, Paul Revere and the development of the copper industry, and the Ponkapoag Indian Praying Town of 1657.

Stop by for a visit on December 9 or 16, learn about the men and women who have developed this town, and support our mission with the purchase of a gift of Canton history.
