Sykes, Gerard J.
By Canton CitizenGerard J. Sykes, 67, formerly of Canton, of Brookline, passed away November 1 at Care One at Brookline.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School and attended Georgetown University.
Beloved son of the late Agnes F. (Skehan) and George C. Sykes, Sr. Brother of George C. Sykes, Jr. and his longtime friend Elaine Rizzo of FL, Stephen F. Sykes and his wife, Chris, of CA, Robert E. Sykes and his wife, Janet, of Canton, and Cathy Sykes of Hull. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in Gerry’s memory to Good Shepherd Community Care, 90 Wells Ave., Newton, MA 02459, or to Care One Brookline, 99 Park St., Brookline, MA 02445.
