Daniel R. “Bob” Hatch, 91, of Canton and Falmouth, passed away September 15 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School, Class of 1945. After graduation he joined the Navy and served as a signalman during World War II. Bob began working for New England Telephone in 1947 and retired in 1989 with 42 years of service. Bob was a wonderful family man and was an avid gardener who took great pride in his vegetable garden.

Beloved husband for 64 years of the late Lorraine M. (Fenner). Father of Paula M. Hatch of Omaha, NE, and Pamela L. McCarthy and her husband, Michael, of Canton. Grandfather of Caitlyn Marie McCarthy of Norwood, Jeffrey R. Cricenti and Michael J. Cricenti, both of NE. Brother of Arthur Hatch of FL, John Hatch of TX, George “Laurie” Hatch of CA, Elizabeth “Bette” Matheson of Lakeville, and the late Charles, James, and Frank Hatch. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Friday at 11 a.m. Visiting hours prior to the service Friday from 10-11 a.m. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to VNA Hospice Care, 100 Trade Center G-500, Woburn, MA 01801.
