News Notes: Reservoir Pond dam repairs underway

By

The Reservoir Pond dam improvement project began on Tuesday, September 4, with the mobilization of the contractor to the Pleasant Street site and the lowering of the water level in the pond. The water will be released in a controlled manner, and DPW engineers will monitor the weather forecast and adjust flow rates as needed. The stream will be periodically monitored and measured against current conditions. During the construction period, Pleasant Street from Washington to Sherman streets will be closed to through traffic; however, school buses will continue to have access to student delivery routes and to the Luce Elementary School. The project is expected to take approximately three months to complete. For more information, please call the DPW or the selectmen’s office at 781-821-5000.
