Warrant arrest leads to recovery of stolen goods

By

A Canton woman and a Dedham man are facing a slew of theft-related charges after a visit by Canton police to serve two outstanding warrants led to the discovery of stolen goods. Police were originally called to a residence on White Sisters Way to serve a warrant to Viktoriya M. Blindman, 31, for motor vehicle violations and to Michael Carroll, 43, of Dedham, for shoplifting charges. Detective Kevin Albert said police, after noticing items believed to be stolen, obtained a search warrant and were able to recover items allegedly taken from a Canton housebreak as well from CVS stores in Waltham and Canton and from a Star Market in Dedham.

Blindman was subsequently charged with receiving stolen property over $250; credit card fraud over $250; identity fraud and conspiracy to commit a crime. Carroll was charged with receiving stolen property over $250; credit card fraud over $250; two counts of identity fraud and conspiracy to commit a crime. Carroll was held on $25,000 bail and Blindman was held for 90 days.

The case is still under investigation by the Canton detective bureau and Dedham Police. Working on the case for the CPD are detectives Albert, Rob Quirk, John Ruane Jr., and Det. Sgt. Paul Gallagher.
