Congratulations to Canton’s PJ Donahue and the rest of the 2017-18 Boston College High School varsity hockey team, winners of this year’s “Super 8” state tournament. The Eagles, seeded No. 2 in the Division 1A bracket, defeated seventh-seeded Pope Francis 2-1 in overtime at the TD Garden to claim Massachusetts high school hockey’s biggest prize. BC High also beat Pope Francis in the tournament opener and won all four of its postseason games, finishing the season at 19-4-1 overall. Donahue (’19) was a defenseman on this year’s team and is an alumnus of the Canton Youth Hockey program.
