John P. Adams, 73, of Canton, passed away March 27 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

Adams, JohnBorn in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester, graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes High, and was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He has lived in Canton for the last 35 years and was a member of the American Legion Post #24 in Canton and the American Legion Post #114 in Milton. John worked as a custodian for Temple Beth Abraham for over 20 years.

Beloved husband of the late Janet (Dwyer). Brother of Carol Bosader of Easton, Betty Callahan of Norwood, Dottie Austin of South Attleboro, Vincent Adams of Easton, and Timothy Adams of RI. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Veterans Services Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
