An open letter to Robert Kraft and the NFL
By Canton CitizenI went to my first football game at Schaffer Stadium. There has been season tickets in my family for two generations. I choose to spend my hard-earned money on the NFL’s product. My family and I choose to spend our Sundays together in Foxborough. I want to purchase your product to be entertained.
If I wanted to see a protest on Sundays, I would go to a rally. If I wanted to be preached to on Sundays, I would go to church. If I wanted a history lesson on Sundays, I would be reading books.
No one is questioning a player’s right to the First Amendment. I am enjoying the free speech that our Constitution gives to the American people. I just want to spend my money to be entertained by a product I have enjoyed for over 40 years.
