Mass.-based Teamworks announces acquisition of Canton Sportsplex

Teamworks, a Massachusetts-based commercial sports and recreation provider, has acquired the former Canton Sportsplex at 5 Carver Circle in Canton. The facility will be the sixth Teamworks location across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

“We have been looking for the perfect spot to expand our business and are excited to have the opportunity to come to Canton,” said Kevin O’Connell, president of Teamworks. “It’s a great community and it seems to be a perfect fit for our family-friendly programming.”

The first order of business for Teamworks Canton will be a major renovation project to be completed by the end of October 2017. The renovation will include the addition of a second boarded field and new turf on both fields. In total, the facility will include two boarded turf fields, batting cages, a sports performance space, and a room for private events and parties, all of which are currently available for private rentals.

For more than 20 years, Teamworks has been offering a variety of programs for the whole family and will be bringing these programs to Canton. This will include a variety of youth and adult leagues for different sports, birthday parties, clinics, camps, and more. In addition, Teamworks has partnered with some local organizations, including TJO Sports, Mass Elite/Achieve Lacrosse & Laxachusetts to provide local residents with even more high-quality programs.

Teamworks opened its first location in Acton in January 1996 and has become a leader in the industry since that time. The company focuses on providing quality programming for the whole family, including youth and adult sports leagues (both indoor and outdoor), youth programs for children ages 2-18, camps, birthday parties, corporate events, social events, and more. In addition, Teamworks also owns Teamworks Sports Performance and Five Star Sport Rehab & Physical Therapy.
