Family of Chief Fitzpatrick grateful for love and support

By

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Fitzpatrick, Benson and Brown families, we want to thank the entire Canton community for the outpouring of love and support. Your kind words and the many stories you have shared with us are something we will treasure in the days to come.

Our Dad was a remarkable man, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He was a Canton boy through and through and Canton has lost one if its rare gems. Thank you for honoring him in such a special way. It’s clear that he was loved by many.

We would also like to thank Larry and Lauren Pushard of the Roache-Pushard Funeral Home, the Canton Fire Department, the Canton Police Department, the Rev. Dr. John Tamilio III, the Congregational Church of Canton, the Veterans Services Department of Canton, the National Guard of the United States, the Board of Selectmen and his many friends at the Canton Town Hall, the Canton Historical Society, the Canton Conservation Commission, Canton Helpline, the Canton Historical Commission, the Council on Aging, the Canton Food Pantry, Hessco, and so many more for being there for us.

May he rest in peace. Thank you!

Family of retired Fire Chief James A. Fitzpatrick, Jr.
