CAASA to host Celebration of Life event Aug. 31

The Canton Alliance Against Substance Abuse (CAASA) is planning an event to be held on August 31 — International Overdose Awareness Day — at 7:30 p.m. at the Canton Senior Center on Pleasant Street.

The program will include music, readings, a speaker, refreshments, and a candle-lighting ceremony in memory of those who have passed. There will also be an opportunity to include your loved one in a reading of names. The Canton Choral Society will participate in the evening’s program.

Please mark your calendars and plan to be part of this community event. So many families have been touched by the disease of addiction. Let’s join together and make this the first of an annual Celebration of Life “in honor of those lost and those struggling with addiction.”
