Born and raised in East Boston, she attended Sacred Heart School in East Boston, Cathedral High School, and Quincy College. She was a devoted homemaker and mother and enjoyed being with her family, reading, playing the organ, and had a strong Catholic faith. Joan also enjoyed traveling and spending time at the family homes in Meredith, NH, and Sarasota, FL. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed telling them stories …
