Frances A. Gately, 73, formerly of Canton, of Braintree, passed away November 12 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Norwood, she was raised in Walpole and graduated from Walpole High School and Boston College Nursing School. She worked as an RN and compliance officer for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health for many years. She previously lived in Stoughton and Canton for many years before moving to Braintree.
