Bridal expo coming to Canton Town Club October 2

By

Cloud Nine Weddings will host a bridal expo for all brides-to-be at the Canton Town Club on Sunday, October 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kristine Norton, who books functions at the Canton Town Club, and Lea Coughlin of Coughlin Photography of Walpole, have coordinated a program that includes several local vendors.

The first 100 brides who arrive for the bridal show will receive free swag bags filled with chocolates and treats. Vendors will be at individual tables with information about their services. Each vendor is going to donate a gift to a raffle. As brides arrive, they will receive five raffle tickets, which they can deposit in containers at the tables of the vendors whose gift they would like to win. Brides will also take part in a scavenger hunt that will guide them through the vendors’ tables.

Emcee Tim Joyce of Party Pro Productions of Dedham will serve as host of the event, playing music, hosting dance contests similar to those that might be held at a wedding, encouraging brides to try a photo booth, and announcing the winners of the raffle prizes. Canton vendors include Brookmeadow Country Club, Floral Scents, Richard Lewis Formal Wear, and DJ Gary Titus.

The Canton Town Club is itself one of the vendors. “It’s an alternative to a fancier wedding,” Norton said. “You can still dress it up.” She added that the venue can be used for baby showers, bridal showers, and sweet 16 birthday.

Other vendors include Hey Gorgeous Boudoir, makeup artist Jackie Andrews, Pops Galore, Younique, Stella & Dot, Athenas, Roden & Fields, It Works, Special Occasions Rentals, Touchstone Crystal, Konditor Meister, Sweet Scentations, This & That Designz, DJ Paul Productions, Lydon Chapel, Sweet Celebrations, Coughlin Photography, Heavenly Goddess Stacy, Pure Haven, Limelight by Alcone, Glee Gifts, Piece by Piece Line Rental, Tracy Marino Photography, Tasty Ray’s, One Hope Wine, and others.

Coughlin selected vendors from across the south shore. “I hope local businesses can get business,” she said.

Interested brides can obtain a ticket to the event by contacting one of the vendors or by going to eventbrite.com or livingsocial.com. Information about the event can also be found on Facebook or by calling 339-237-0787. The Canton Town Club is located at 300 Bailey Street in Canton.
