A group of Canton High School students recently attended the “Power of One” media conference at MIT run by the Scholastic Media Association. Keynote speaker Justin Reich explained the importance of STEAM learning requiring more than just the bookends of science and math. Students Jason Kaplan, Roni Polsgrove, and Mia Tess assisted CHS teacher Ed McDonough with a presentation on “Personal Branding.” The session explored how students can use web resources to shape their own branded image for college admissions, business opportunities and beyond. Other attendees from Canton included Ryan Finnessey, Emily Bornstein, Josh Nix, and Kevin Praik.
