Man faces charges in multi-car crash on Neponset St.

By

A Brockton man will face an assortment of charges stemming from a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Neponset and Jackson streets on Saturday, December 5, around 4:30 p.m. Two passengers were taken to area hospitals with injuries. Deputy Police Chief Helena Rafferty said passengers gave a description of a black pickup truck that apparently left the scene of the accident. Police plan to charge Arthur Reid, 48, with leaving the scene of a personal injury, failure to stop and yield, and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.

More break-ins reported to police

The recent rash of break-ins continued last week in Canton with three more reported to police. In one instance, a car that had keys left inside it was reported stolen on Pleasant Street, and Deputy Police Chief Helena Rafferty stressed that residents should lock all vehicles and not leave any valuables in clear view. Two house breaks were also reported last week — one on Washington Street and the other on Hemenway Drive.
