Canton HS to host 3rd annual showcase October 21

By

On Wednesday evening, October 21, Canton High School will host its third annual showcase night for students in grades 6-9 and their parents. More than 70 clubs, teams, and performing/visual arts programs will host presentations in the CHS gymnasium from 6-8 p.m.

All Galvin Middle School parents and students are invited and encouraged to attend, and high school students and their parents are welcome as well. In particular, the showcase will serve as the kick-off to many activities designed to help with the transition from eighth to ninth grade.

“Instilling and showcasing Bulldog Pride, this exciting event will be a tremendous opportunity for parents and students to learn about Canton High School’s school culture and the many athletic teams, clubs and programs available to students,” states an invitation letter from CHS administrators. “There will be a ton of energy and passion because our students and staff feel so strongly about these programs, and they can’t wait to meet the future — your sons and daughters.”

The showcase will run as a drop-in event; attendees can visit at any point between 6 and 8 p.m. and move throughout the various attractions and speak with coaches, captains, advisors, and club leaders. They can also go to the cafeteria for music and light refreshments or take a tour of the school with a CHS Link Leader. Additionally, parents will have an opportunity to talk to the CHS administration and CHS parents.
