With another win Thursday against division foe Milford, Tessa Cudmore and the Canton High girls soccer team improved to 4-1 on the season and are now just one point in back of Oliver Ames for the Davenport Division lead. The lady Bulldogs are one of four Canton teams with winning records so far this fall, along with the golf (6-1), volleyball (4-1) and football (2-0) squads. The girls will return to action on Tuesday afternoon at home against Stoughton, followed by road games next week against Sharon and Attleboro. On October 7, the team will head to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, where they will take on Mansfield (4-1) as part of a special doubleheader featuring the boys and girls teams.
