Praise for Canton’s new senior center

Dear Editor:

Carol and I felt that we wanted to write a short letter to give the people of Canton our feelings about Canton’s new senior center. I, with others, had worked on trying to get this job done for a number of years and unfortunately we were unsuccessful. What a wonderful job has been done by those who did not stop trying to achieve the goal. The new center is such a vast improvement over what was available in the past. It is now possible to have multiple activities going on at the same time. It is a beautiful building that has a delightful, warm charm. The director, Diane Tynan, does a superb job in running this establishment. She is ably assisted by her staff and volunteers in getting things done and with as little fanfare as possible. We should all be proud to have this facility at the disposal of Canton’s senior population and we encourage more seniors to visit and get acquainted with the building and its staff.
