Batchelder, Stephan

Stephan “Steve” Batchelder passed away suddenly June 11 in Suzhou, China, where he had lived and worked for many years for Solutia as an engineer.

Beloved son of Nelson D. Batchelder, MD, of Canton, and the late Lois Batchelder. Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah, and their two sons, Kurt and Erik; a brother, Nelson D. Jr., and a sister, Lynn Conley.

Stephan graduated from Canton High School in 1969 and went on to receive an AB in biology from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, and a degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. He went on to earn an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst …
