CCPC to host application & grant writing workshop

By

The Canton Community Preservation Committee (CCPC) will host an informational workshop on Wednesday, June 24, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Canton Public Library. A brief overview of the Community Preservation Act (CPA), including a description of the types of projects eligible for CPA funding, will be followed by a walk-through of Canton’s CPA application process and grant review guidelines. At the conclusion of the formal presentation, a question-and-answer period with CCPC members will allow attendees to raise project-specific inquiries and to receive information about external funding opportunities.

The workshop is intended for:

* Prospective applicants who may be wondering whether their open space, historic preservation, community housing or recreation project might qualify for a grant from the Community Preservation Fund.

* Past CPA applicants seeking advice as to how to prepare a strong application.

* Past grant recipients willing to share their experience and provide feedback about the application/review process.

If you have any questions regarding the workshop or about the Community Preservation Act, please contact the CCPC at 339-502-5729 or ccpc@town.canton.ma.us.
