Closson, Robert W.

Robert W. Closson, 81, of Canton, formerly of Brockton, passed away March 12 surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Boston, he went to Farm & Trade School on Thompson Island. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and the Merchant Marines. He played the saxophone in the National Guard Band and attended firefighters school while in the Merchant Marines and also graduated from the Peterson School of Steam Engineering. He owned and operated a dry cleaners in Dorchester and later worked for FM Generator in Canton …
