Lawrence J. Poirier, 90, of Canton, passed away January 17 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Canton, he graduated from Canton High School and was a lifelong resident of the town. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a mechanic for many years at the family business, Poirier’s Garage in Canton. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and traveling to Europe, England and Italy.
