Hillside Pub damaged by vehicle collision

No one was hurt following a one-car accident in which the driver hit the side of the Hillside Pub, located at 2 Royall Avenue, on January 6 around 2:30 p.m. Fire Lt. Greg Woodbury said the accident damaged a side door leading to the bar area. The restaurant closed for the day and a carpenter was brought in to reinforce a beam before the restaurant opened the next day.

Chapman St. search leads to drug arrest

On Monday morning, January 12, at 6 a.m., Canton police served a search warrant and seized several drugs and arrested Koriann Tamanini, 31, of 646 Chapman Street, Apartment B. She was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug and distributing a Class E substance. A Department of Correction canine found several areas within the residence where the narcotics were hidden. Police detectives found a large quantity of pills and over $2,000. Tamanini was placed into custody and held until her court arraignment.

Blue bulbs available at police station

Free blue bulbs are currently available for pickup at the reception window at the Canton Police Station. Police are encouraging residents to put a blue light in their window to show support for law enforcement.
