Sarah Healey named to NE-10 All-Conference 2nd Team

Canton resident Sarah Healey, a senior goalkeeper on the Saint Michael’s College field hockey team, has been named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team after a stellar 2014 season.

Healey teamed with fellow senior and NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year Jackie Chisholm to form one of the most formidable goalie tandems in New England. Together they helped lead the Purple Knights to a 9-9 overall record and a No. 5 ranking in the NCAA East Region poll.

During a season in which she appeared nine times, Healey finished second in the NE-10 in save percentage (.819) and fourth in saves per game (9.6). Both were career-best figures, as was her 2.10 goals against average, and her four wins matched a career high.

Healey registered double-digit saves in six contests, including against five nationally ranked foes. Despite splitting time the past two seasons and playing sparingly as a freshman, Healey finished eighth in program history in career saves (242) and minutes played (2,193).
