Winifred O’Connor (McDaid), 81, of Weymouth, passed away August 16 at the Colonial Rehab and Nursing Center in Weymouth.

Born in Lexington, she attended Matignon High School and has lived in Weymouth for over 50 years. She worked as an administrative secretary for New England Telephone for many years before retiring. In her free time Winifred enjoyed crossword and sudoku puzzles and taking trips to Foxwoods.

Beloved wife of the late John O’Connor. Mother of John O’Connor of Plymouth. Sister of William McDaid of Canton, John McDaid of Lynnfield, and the late Sally Allen and James McDaid. Also survived by dear friends Brian and Heidi Smith of Weymouth and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday, August 20, in the Immaculate Conception Church in Weymouth. Burial St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
