Four Canton youth hockey players were recently invited to participate in the eighth annual New England County Cup “AAA” Hockey Tournament held at the Foxboro Sports Center during the week of June 9.

The tournament included some of the region’s top 7- and 8-year-old hockey players and allowed them an opportunity to compete for their county or state and play against many different players in an exciting atmosphere.

Representing Canton as part of the Norfolk County team were Colin Blake, Sam DiFiore, Tyler Findlen, and Travis Thomas. The boys’ hard work helped the team advance to the championship game on Sunday, June 15.

Unfortunately, the team came up short in a hard-fought game against a tough Middlesex County team and finished as runners-up. Most importantly, it was a fun experience and a week of hockey that the boys will not soon forget.
