CCPC thanks voters for support of exemption

By

Dear Editor:

The Canton Community Preservation Committee (CCPC) would like to thank voters in last week’s election for approving an extension of the $100,000 Community Preservation Act (CPA) surcharge exemption to commercial and industrial property owners. A special thank you to Canton Association of Business and Industry (CABI) for supporting this amendment. This exemption is vital to fostering a good business environment in Canton and sends a clear signal that voters value the business community’s role in community preservation. This is truly a win-win for residents and local business partners. The CCPC looks forward to partnering with CABI and other business leaders on private/public collaborations to leverage CPA funds in the best interest of Canton.
