Former CHS lax star earns 3rd straight rookie award

Canton’s Meghan Lennon has earned her third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week award after leading the Endicott College women’s lacrosse team to two big wins last week.

Lennon tallied an impressive four goals and two assists in a 14-9 victory over the University of New England and also had a goal and an assist in the Gulls’ 17-3 victory over Nichols College. A week earlier, she scored a goal and an assist in back-to-back wins over nationally ranked Bates College and CCC opponent Roger Williams.

A former three-sport standout athlete at Canton High School, Lennon is off to a strong start for the Gulls, tallying 14 goals and nine assists through eight games. Endicott (7-1) was due to host Wentworth on Tuesday and will travel to Southern Maine today, April 3.
