The Nationals became Canton Little League’s Major League champions last Sunday, defeating the Braves 2-1 in the championship game. Both teams played well, but it was Robert Sullivan’s outstanding pitching, backed by some solid defense, that led the team to victory. It was a fantastic finish to an excellent season for the Nationals. The championship roster included Brendan Albert, Conor Hall, Gerry Sullivan, Justin Wenstrom, Matthew Bower, Robert Sullivan, Matthew Casamento, Matthew Pigeon, Ryan White, Owen Lehane, and Jeremy McCabe (missing from photo: Jacob Astrofsky), led by coaches Jim Casamento, Mark Pigeon, and Dan Sullivan.
